WHEN INDIGO OXIDIZES

July 31, 2015

One of the most fascinating aspects of Indigo dyeing is when the oxidation process occurs. When you remove your fabric from the dye vat, it emerges as a neon green color only to transform into blue in a matter of seconds. Here is the before and after image from my dye session last weekend and a quick video from Austin Tie Dye Co. capturing the magical occurrence.

ROBERT KAUFMAN INDIGO

July 8, 2015

Have you seen the new Indigo collection by Heidi Dobrott & Robert Kaufman? I came across it today when I was browsing the mezmerizing walls of Purl soho and I had to share it with you. The fabrics are printed (not hand-dyed) but still beautiful and definitely worth checking out. You can by yardage here ($11.40 a yard).
